The unthinkable has happened: Russia is once again a threat to a global peace that has held strong since the Cold War ended in 1989.
Ukraine, once a symbol of the West’s ability to establish this vital peace is besieged, and European countries bordering Ukraine are being reinforced with military equipment and troops by their NATO allies. In a February Press Conference in Brussels, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg declared that the use of force is Europe’s “new normal.”
Expanding on this new reality, he said, “Moscow has made it clear that it is prepared to contest the fundamental principles that have underpinned our security for decades, and to do so by using force.”
The escalating ‘new’ normal
But make no mistake: this is not a ‘new normal’ isolated to Europe! The effects of the crisis in Ukraine are already reverberating overseas.
One such example lies in the threat to global food production.
Ukraine is a major provider of the world’s wheat, maize, and barley but the war has put its ability to continue to do so in great doubt. As a result, President Biden at a press conference in Brussels with NATO leaders last week warned that the threat of global food shortages is “going to be real.”
Senior White House administration officials echoed the reality of this new threat, saying, “Russia’s war of aggression threatens to disrupt the supply of critical agricultural commodities from the Black Sea region, which jeopardizes global food security.”
Once the ‘new normal’ was just confined to describing Covid, but once again we hear the world cry out ‘new normal!’ These escalating ‘newer’ normals now also include rising inflation, gas prices, and cost of living expenses, coupled with increasingly dramatic natural disasters.
These things show us that we haven’t just entered another new ‘normal’, but an entirely new ‘era’, and well may it be said, “God help us!” But as difficult as it may be to get our heads around, these things are merely the BEGINNING of what God has revealed is coming upon this planet. These are still SOFTBALL DAYS.
A moment to reflect
That said, let’s pause for a minute to reflect on the fact that a faithful, sovereign and merciful God WARNED us for years that this time was coming.
Unfortunately, it seems that very few people listened. Even well-meaning Christians tried to silence me and many others with a prophetic ministry. Many Churches also closed their doors to what the Holy Spirit was pointing to in the future.
I was a direct witness to this fact, as over the years I wrote multiple articles for Christian Today sharing what God had shown me about what we now face, and what we will face in the future, with little to no response from anyone. The Hardball Future
Despite the deafening silence of the past, God continues to speak and say that despite the hardships of the present, they are ‘softball’ days compared to what’s coming!
So what exactly is coming you ask?
In my view – this is what I have understood what God’s shown me in dreams:
· Unprecedented tsunamis that will wipe out entire population areas
· Multiple asteroid strikes
· The airline industry will come to an end
· Russia will attack America
· Unprecedented global war
· Nuclear weapons will be detonated
· Nephilim giants (‘aliens’) will reveal themselves and walk amongst humanity
· A New World Order will arise (in the guise of a peace agenda)
· Christians will face great persecution
Hope beyond the gloom?
Despite the unbelief of the past, hopefully, with the onset of troubles that started with Covid and have continued with the war in Europe, people will now wake up to the new era we have entered—The End of the World as we know it!
Not for the sake of giving up on life, or for getting afraid or angry. Neither in order run to the political arena as self-appointed gladiators of opinion and protest. Especially not to just ‘bunker-down’ to ride out the storm away from everyone and everything else in life.
Instead, now in my view is the time to answer the vital question of whether we are right with God. The reason for this is simple; it is GOD HIMSELF who is trying to get our attention! It is God who is crying out to a wicked world; Repent of your sins! Believe in my Son Jesus! Put your faith in what He did on the cross! Acknowledge your need for Me!
If we don’t, God showed me in a dream that He will become a terrifying Enemy through the future troubles I described. Nevertheless, if we heed what is going on in the world right now and let it point us to Him, then He will SAVE us from trouble, and deliver us from the worst elements of future perils!
Now is the time to realise the era we are in, heed the warnings, and run to God while there’s still hope and while He is still gracious. The Bible says, “The prudent man sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it” (Proverbs 27v12). Will we heed the call to hide from danger in God? Or will we go on and suffer the consequences?
The choice is ours...
