So, you read Part One and wanted to know what happened next? Well, hold onto your seat because what happened next was crazy and terrifying. And it all happened in church one Sunday. Deliverance from sexual sin, I have come to learn, is a process that one must be vigilant about.
Boom, it can happen like that, but there must also be a definitive strategy to work through and walk out the process. Sexual sins go deep into the soul and so deliverance can take time to fully manifest. The soul becomes stained and needs continual washing with the Word of God and the Blood of Jesus.
I heard the audible voice of God
On that dreadful day, I heard what sounded like an voice speak to me. In my previous article I stated that for two weeks in a row the pastor stopped preaching and walked off the pulpit and stopped at my row, and said the same thing “
As I sat in church questioning if the preacher was speaking to me and how would he know I was watching porn, I heard a speak to me. It seemed the voice came from the ceiling, the air, or from within me.
The voice said in an aggressive tone. “ The force of the voice was so powerful, it knocked me flat on my face. I was on the floor asking “Who spoke to me?” I got off the floor and kept asking “Who spoke to me?” I asked the people around me. “Did you speak to me?” I was frantic.
One by one they said no they didn’t speak to me. But I knew I heard a man’s voice speak to me. I was frightened and feeling totally discombobulated. I didn’t know what was happening to me. Then, things got worse.
A Fire was Burning in my Body
I was in the church shaking and suddenly I felt fire burning in my body. I didn’t see any smoke, but I felt the burning. I kept beating my chest over and over again, trying to get the fire out. But it wouldn’t stop. I felt I was going to die. I didn’t know what to do. So I kept beating my chest as it felt like the fire was there. Deliverance was taking place but I had no knowledge of these things at that time. This lasted a little while and when the ordeal was over, it felt like something was lifted from within me. Yeah, it felt different inside.
I went home angry
I remember going home angry. A righteous anger erupted within me and I began to curse, rebuke and bind unclean spirits that had me bound. I didn’t even know what I was doing as I had no training in that area. I just found myself addressing evil spirits and sexual strongholds in my life.
I walked through my home and pointed my finger and told every unwanted presence in my home to leave, in Jesus’ Name. I was taking charge. This new found anger against porn led me to remove it from my Cable TV, throw away every sexual material and cleanse my computer. I was free. I felt free.
Freedom in one day
It seemed to me that a real battle was won. A breakthrough came to my life. I was a porn watcher for 16 years, and in one day, I was freed by the supernatural power of God Almighty. It’s amazing that one thing I learnt from that encounter is that Jesus Christ can take out anyone on the earth at any time. The strength of His voice knocked me down on my face and caused supernatural fire to burn in my body, and I didn’t see a hand or a finger.
This was how I was freed from porn. What is your struggle? Is it porn, fornication, homosexuality, or adultery? Begin to call upon the power of Jesus Christ to deliver you.
Steps to freedom
These steps will help you get and stay free from sexual struggles:
1. Confess your sins before God…Weep, bawl out and cry before Him.
2. Admit that your issue is a sin…If it is porn, masturbation, homosexuality, flirting, etc. Admit that it is wrong before God.
3. Get an accountable partner…Tell somebody, who you can trust. But more importantly somebody who will give you Godly counsel and correction.
4. Get baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues daily…This is probably my number one suggestion. It is the power of God in you that drives the unclean spirits out of you. Sexual strongholds go deep into your soul. That is why they are not easily broken. When you become filled with the Spirit, you become filled with a greater power than the stronghold.
5. Give a sacrificial offering to God…An offering that costs you something. Give God an offering that moves your faith. If it moves your faith it will move God’s Hand to deliver you. Some strongholds are not broken by prayer only. Sometimes an offering of faith is required.
