Australian Over 31s young writer Rachel Li and Internationals Over 31s Kacy Garvey have won their separate 2020 Internationals Tronson presented at the annual young writers conference on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
The Awards are presented at 4.00pm of the conference each year – there are a number of awards but with Covid 19 restrictions many were unable to attend in 2020.
Each of the Australian and Internationals Over 31s young writers in the Press Service International program in conjunction with Christian Today sent in their BEST article for the five Panellists to mark out of 25 - the 25 mark was chosen as in previous years there have been too many multiple winners out of 10 marks.

The Tronson Award has two string attributes – the first is a top result by the Panellists, the second is engaged in the Press Service International ministry.
Rachel is the children and youth pastor at Northern Life Baptist Church in Sydney. She loves volleyball, reading and a good TV drama! She has recently finished studying a Master of Divinity at Morling College and she’s continuing further studies towards another Masters.
Rachel has served as the Week 2 young writer coordinator for some years and when she herself was relocated into Week 5 as an Over 31 young writer, Rachel retained the Week 2 coordinator role.
Kacy Garvey is a Christian poet, speaker and activist. In 2011, she launched "Rahab", an outreach to prostitutes in Geneva, Switzerland. She is a USAID certified HIV Testing and Counselling Provider and has also successfully completed training in Trafficking in Persons conducted by the International Organisation on Migration (IOM).
She performs original pieces of spoken word poetry to various audiences, and in 2014 and 2018, she launched “Undone” and “Water Jar”, the first and only Christian poetry albums published in Jamaica thus far. As a founding member of the Love March Movement (since 2012) and #MarriageMattersJA (since 2018), she is a regular presenter on the science, politics and biblical worldviews on sex and sexuality.
She hosts the new TV series “MTM News Magazine” which can be streamed live on www.mercyandtruth.tv.
Kacy is celebrating 8 years marriage and produces the Internationals and Kiwis separate 4 min Newsy Bits videos every second month.
