The Panellists for the young writer annual awards are past the half way point – there are several sets of panellists – these are the people who read and then mark the articles for the first six months of 2022.
The young writer program consists of five weeks. Each set of five weeks is called a Cycle. There are 10 Cycles in the year.

Week 3 – Senior writers
Week 4 – Internationals / NZ seniors
Week 5 – Over 31s
The major awards are the Basil Sellers Awards for first place, the Tronson for second place, the Theology Award and the Youth Development Award. Then the Tony Dunkerley Sport Writer Award.
