Sir Alex Ferguson ended a nightmare week with a disappointing 0-0 draw 4 days after being knocked out of Europe. United were without injured Rooney and couldn't find the net at Ewood Park. Blackburn played well and battled hard and fully deserved a point. Ferguson now knows Chelsea are in the ascendency as United are 1 point behind but have played an extra game. .

Sports News – Drogba nets offside winner
Drogba was the hero at Old Trafford when he came off the bench to score to put Chelsea on top of the table with five games remaining. Ferguson was fuming after Drogba ran through clearly offside in a mouth watering contest between the top two sides in the country. However United did score late on with another highly contentious decision as Macheda looked to bundle the ball over with his hand.

Hockeyroos on track with late win
The Hockeyroos were back on track with their belated 2-1 win over Argentina in their four Test Match series held in Townsville last week. The Hockeyroos lost the series two Tests to one, with one drawn. The results were 1-2, 1-2, 0-0 and then a turn around with a 2-1 win.
