Stepping past Jesus

As the sun’s rays are beaming down on us, we can feel the warmth of the day. The path is lined with flowers of every species and colour. As we gaze to our left and right, we see reminders of the life Jesus lived..

  • Freedom from fear

    Fear in all its ugly forms, wants to wrap itself around us in a thick, dark blanket.

  • Social action demonstrates the beauty of the gospel message

    I think the message of the gospel is beautiful, but at times I get accused, either overtly or indirectly, of misrepresenting or downplaying it.

  • Hold onto your joy

    This time last year, if someone had told me I would have been the happiest and most joyful I’ve ever been in a year’s time I probably would have laughed in their face. This week as I sat down and reflected on the last six months of my life I am filled with a gratitude that brings me to tears.

  • The Commonwealth of children

    “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” (Psalm chapter 82, verse 3) “The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself,...” (Leviticus chapter 19, verse 34)

  • Aching World. Needing the Love of the Father

    At times analysts feared full-on civil war in America. Warring parties became physical after Donald Trump won the vicious US presidential election. Street scenes were reminiscent of more lawless regions and it will take wise, even gentle wisdom to begin healing a very distraught nation.

  • Seasoned with salt

    “Let your speech be always filled with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how to answer each one (Colossians chapter 4, verse 6)”.

  • The mission that is set in time

    As I write this article, my mission trip in Thailand is coming to an end. A group of five people from my local church came to Thailand. What an amazing time it has been.
