A newborn baby girl miraculously survived after she had been buried alive for two hours. The baby's parents mistakenly thought she was stillborn because she was premature.
The baby's mother, Lu Xiayun, was tending the farm when she suddenly went into labour. She was only six months pregnant. As her baby lay in a pool of blood, she thought the premature baby was stillborn. Her husband He Yong, who hurriedly went home after hearing of his wife's labour, also thought the baby was stillborn.
An ambulance came for Lu, who was rushed to the hospital, while Lu's mother buried the baby in their backyard. However, the doctors at the hospital said they had to see the baby to confirm that it was dead, because there was a chance that it was born alive even though it was preterm.
He Yong went home to get the baby only to find out that Lu's mother had already buried her. He quickly dug her up, and to his surprise, he found her still breathing – after two hours of being buried. The baby girl was indeed alive.
