
Chelsea were back In form on Monday night with a tricky trip to Bolton. The Reebok Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for the Blues in recent years and this fixture was no different. Goals came from everywhere for Chelsea as they ran riot over Bolton coming out 4-0 winners with Malouda, Ramires, Drogba and Anelka all hitting the target.
Midweek also saw a rejuvenated Aston Villa travel to Wigan. Villa took control early in the match and went 2-0 up with an Ashley Young Strike. Wigan clawed 1 back with 10 minutes to play to set up a nearly last few minutes however Villa held out to record back to back victory's and pull themselves 6 points clear of the drop zone. Liverpool also played midweek, winning 1-0 over Fulham.
In the FA Cup round 4, there were no giant killing upsets as all premier league teams progressed. Manchester United came from a goal down to win 2-1 away at Southampton. Birmingham also came from 2 down to eventually see off Coventry 3-2. Aston Villa beat Blackburn 3-1 to keep their good form going and Everton and Chelsea have to play again after a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
