Chelsea kept the pressure on with a 2-1 win over Spurs at the Bridge. Chelsea scored a late controversial goal to keep their chances alive and a showdown next weekend against Manchester United.
Liverpools impressive form continues as they brushed aside Newcastle 3-0 at home. Liverpool are now 5th in the table and looking at European football next season. Spurs and Manchester City are also in the battle to gain entry to Europe's elite.
Relegation looms now for West Ham after another defeat this time away at Manchester City. West Ham now have 3 games left in which they need to pick up points in each match to ensure they stay in the Premier League next season. Birmingham and Wolves shared a point in a piece both scoring to finish 1-1. Wigan also picked up a point as they drew 1-1 with an inform Everton whilst Blackpool and Stoke had a scoreless draw. Blackburn also helped ease their relegation fears with a 1-0 win over rivals Bolton.
In other Matches West Brom played well to defeat Aston Villa 2-1 whilst Fulham were too strong for out of form Sunderland coming out 3-0 winners at the Stadium of Light.
