On the 9th March 2006, locals at Warracknabeal get a chance to tune into Vision FM100.5 which has the ability to ‘change lives’ via positive music and talk beaming 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Broadcasting Vision FM100.5 is also a source of joy for UCB where Warracknabeal is the 238th community to gain access to Australia’s national Vision Radio Network.
The radio programs of Vision share one theme, which is to ‘Connect Faith to Life’ through music and talk. This is to dispel the notion that Christians are walking their path of faith alone. The radio aims to reinvigorate and strengthen Christians through providing them information and helping them understands their faith – in a real and practical way.
Vision hopes the positive response of the listeners can be translated into a positive change inside of them. These changes will then reverberate to the entire community and this is how the mantra of how ‘change lives’ of not only the individual but the community can be achieved.
Vision offers a wide range of excellent contemporary music from local and international artists including: “Third Day, Newsboys, Rebecca St James, Paul Colman and many more.”
Complementing the music is talk by speakers who are invited to give a Christian perspective on the topical issue of the day and relate the Bible to the life we are living now. This ensures the Bible is not merely words in a book but can be alive in all of us.
The regular speakers include: “Family communicators James Dobson and Peter Janetski; plus international speakers Greg Laurie, Joyce Meyer, Bob Gass, Billy Graham and many more.”
Feedbacks have been given to testify the great work of Vision Australia and its changes to listeners. The feedbacks are:
“I cannot begin to say how much I appreciate turning on your station regularly and listening to good, solid, uplifting, music, talk, EVERYTHING ... I so want to see this take off in every community everywhere in Australia, and I know some of my friends cannot even tune in yet. Just want to say thank you all, and may how you bless others return sevenfold.” Shirley, Horsham, VIC
“Words cannot express how blessed we are to have Vision Radio in Chinchilla. A travelling businessman, who remains anonymous even to us, was reading our local paper on one of his business trips. When he read that we were raising money for a Vision radio station, he contributed $1000 to help towards it because, on his travels, he liked to tune in to Vision and Chinchilla was one town that was missing out. It is really awesome to us that a total stranger would care so much!!!” Sharon, Chinchilla, QLD
