From the 23rd March to the 1st April 2006, Hillsong is presenting its COLOUR Your World Women Conference, which aims to carry out a divine mandate to ‘gather thousands of women together united in friendship to bring heaven on earth by responding to the needs of humanity.’
The theme of the conference are summed up in three words: ‘Risen, Empowered and Beautiful.’ The conference aims to ‘encourage, inspire and mobilise’ all women to rise to their full potential by leaving an ‘indelible mark’ on the world through local and global actions.
The conference hopes to stimulate the feeling of ‘sisterhood’ among all the women of the world and spur them into action so ‘God can use and shape them to respond to the plight of humanity.’
Speakers from the past conference had confirmed their attendances such as Marilyn Skinner, a pastor who had worked tirelessly and passionately for the orphans of Africa. Dr. Jordan Rubin who wrote the best seller ‘The Maker’s Diet’ is making his first appearance.
Last year 11,500 women from across 43 nations including Australia participated to ‘place value upon womanhood.’ Further the grace of last year conference flowed to the outside world including: “750 Compassion children being sponsored, several thousand gifts were graciously given to the Gift Tree (it is a woman in prison program), hundreds of women put their hand up in a desire to bring tangible answers to help the orphans in Africa.”
