My hope for America

My hope for America

My country is bleeding right now. Divided into two separate sides. At least that\'s what a lot of people are thinking, that the other half of the population has no understanding of how their feeling, that they\'re belief system is twisted and wrong..

  • Mysterious wonder

Since the moment I encountered a world traveler from South America in a small single hall church presenting his black and white slides on a single slide projector, I knew what I wanted to dedicate the rest of my life to doing.

  • Stop isolating yourself – My take on community

I found myself sitting outside by a campfire under the starry sky of South Africa. As I was being warmed by the fire and looking at the hundreds of stars shining their light back at me, I was suddenly aware of the situation around me.

  • Playing stuck in the mud

As a 15 year old really experiencing God for the first time, I remember being in times of worship, looking around and observing people crying.

  • His love is like the ocean

Sometimes life has a way of steering you away from the truths that you know in your heart. It may be what life may be dishing up, it may be relationships or maybe you just feel a little disconnected from this thing called life.

  • 5 amazing medicinal plants from Peru—and why I won't be exporting them

Everyone wants to be \'healthy and happy\', right? But neither of these are necessarily automatic. I can\'t just do whatever takes my fancy at the time and hope it works out.

  • Give me cake

Wouldn\'t life be so much easier if I could complain about the angst, and cry about the hurt, and rage about the injustice – and be perfectly entitled to it all?

  • Worthy or unworthy?

There is always an interesting mix of people on my bus ride into the city. As a bit of a people-watcher, I find myself considering each individual as they pay the fare and find a seat.
