Changing seasons - Part II

Changing seasons - Part II

This piece I originally wrote in April 2014 and my golly how much has changed and yet so much has stayed the same now 3 years later..

  • There is hope for the broken-hearted

Why would someone so close to us ever have the intention of hurting or harming us?

  • New seasons

I have mixed feelings about new seasons of life. I enjoy the rush of the unknown, but hate the anxiety that quickly follows pursuit. I love meeting new people, but cringe at the potential awkwardness that poisons the air during a dead conversation.

  • The trap of depravity

Paul had overcome his past. Once, he was a cold-hearted killer. But he had changed his life. Now he was one of the foremost leaders of the church.

  • From a wrestling Christian: Is God self-centred?

In my last article I decided to get vulnerable. I opened up about lots of things that have happened in my life.

  • God says – “let me rock your world”

“How are things? “ God asked me one day.  I answered in a small voice - “ I am not sure.  How do you think I feel? Why do you ask?"

  • The problem of racism, what is the answer? - Part 3

In my previous article I explored what I believe to be the real problem behind racism, namely the human heart.

  • Sport has few answers – hot one week, off kilter the next

Two weekends ago, The AFL team Sydney Swans were in blistering form and Geelong were humiliated. Last weekend these two teams met in a preliminary final. Geelong punished the Sydney Swans in a bewildering performance. Why such performance anomalies.

  • Justice is a constant

Bill Gates is a renowned philanthropist whose specific concern is for the eradication of diseases such as polio in third world countries.

  • Who are you?

I recently ran across a video by rapper Andy Mineo. In it he shares his experience of God using himself and Lecrae to rescue a transgender woman from committing suicide.

  • To be a Giver, will make you glow

It seems to me anytime the church starts talking about generosity our minds immediately go to monetary giving.

  • Conservatives and creators

Society in its current form seems to have an obsession to redefine itself. Out with the old and in with the new is the mantra of our mission as we attempt to spring clean the entire earth.
