When God uses the unexpected
Recently I was on holidays with my husband in the USA. We used Uber for most of our journeys around and we met a variety of interesting drivers. But none were as interesting as T.

Our weeping
What we know from historical accounts is that the 1600s did not seem like the greatest century to be living in Europe. As the Black Plague ravaged nation after nation, sweeping through with little regard for class or culture, a 38-year-old man began to cough and splutter. Bed-ridden and fearful of death, he listened as the church bell announced each new victim of the disease, awaiting his turn.

Opinion: Finding the ‘perfect’ church (it is possible!)
Unfortunately, this search is often mischaracterised as a shallow, vain, or even unbiblical pursuit. Selfish and petty motives are suspected. Leaving is often followed by a rolling of eyes followed by the exasperated line, “More Christians wanting the ‘perfect’ church!”

View - The wild, wild west: western guilt in a hurting world

Jesus, My Refuge.
I was praying the other night, and asked God what he wants my next article to be about. This isn’t something I do all the time as I often have something pressing, but over the course of the last month my wells felt a bit dry, no ideas or passions springing up.

Good Timing
I’ve always wondered what Esther was thinking on the first night she invited her husband, the King of Persia, and Haman, a high-ranking senior official in the King’s court, to dinner.
