Who are you performing for?

Who are you performing for?

I had never really understood the unconditional love of God. If you had asked me ‘Is God’s love unconditional?’ Of course, I would have said yes!.

  • Reality check

It is in Christian news again, the entire plethora of the common term – Replacement Theology’. I have forgotten how many times over the years to have put pen to paper on this subject.

  • To restore dignity

To restore dignity is something you can’t really put value on but something everyone highly values. Dignity is about more than just keeping someone’s confidentiality or having someone’s back even when it’s behind their back, but it’s restoring their value. I’ve been watching how the Red Frog team have been doing that over schoolies (school leavers) week, I love schoolies week for that. Red Frogs are out there at all hours of the night restoring dignity to every graduate they can find.

  • Blessed are those who have learned

Have you ever felt like you have mastered something? Like you know how to do something and you do it well?

  • Christina Tyson and the Kiwi young writers

Major Christian Tyson is the former head of the New Zealand Salvation Army Media Unit and the ‘Patron’ - type person to help the Kiwi young writers establish themselves as a separate entity to the Australian young writers ministry.

  • Auslan is in and on the news

In recent months the sign language ‘Auslan’ has been in the news with the heightened attention of discrimination work place issues. Of course, we see ‘Auslan’ every day of the week on political news interviews and announcements. The sign language interpreter is adjacent to the microphone and providing ‘Auslan’ to the viewers.

  • Climate Change or is it Regime Change?

Our city streets are a-throng with thousands of school students, here and overseas. Pimpled faced kids out in force denouncing world governments, whom they hold culpable for the imminent and certain climate apocalypse.

  • Happiness & Success

“God just wants us to be happy”. Chances are you may have heard this phrase before. “You can be anything you set your mind to achieve”. This is also another common phrase that children are often taught in today’s world. Happiness and success are often things we aspire to in this life.

  • Transformation: Leave it to Jesus

I think that one of the most discouraging aspects in our quest to “make disciples” (Matthew chapter 28, verse 19) is the lack of ‘results’.

  • A forgotten act for those we love the most

I love my family a lot.  I mean, I am crazy about them, so crazy about them that I love living life with them.   I get to watch them grow, I get to teach them so many things, I get to see what they are truly passionate about and what makes them struggle.  But I love them so much that we did what we all dread and fear to do and that is wrote our will.

  • A woman’s guide to discerning a godly man

A few weeks ago, I was involved in a conversation with a small group of young men. This ‘interesting’ discussion was derived from a topic one of them brought up – ‘should a woman be able to preach?’; referring to the Bible verses 1 Timothy chapter 3 verse 2 and 1 Timothy chapter two verses 11-13.

  • Uncomfortable Bible facts as presented by Izzy

The media has had a great time this year capitalising on the outspokenness of Australian rugby Star, Israel Folau whilst remaining on the fence about his right to share his beliefs. I wrote an article earlier this year on Folau’s viral instagram post about same-sex marriage from a biblical point of view which people were not happy about, mainly because it was condemning the act of it and people don’t like consequences (shocking).
