I am My Beloved’s

“I am my Beloved’s and He is Mine... His Desire is for me.”

-Song of Songs chapter 6 verse 3a; chapter 7 verse 10b

I am no longer my own- I am Your garden. Take delight in me, oh God.

David is a remarkable example of shame-free living in Scripture.  He had no spiritual time-out when he fell.  He knew how to repent and return right away to the life of intense pursuit & joy in the presence of God.  David knew the Lord’s mercy and delight in Him, and lived a life of reciprocated delight.  Even when enduring the discipline of God, his humility and confidence in the blessing of God in the midst of this process, are remarkable.  He trusted that his Father’s hands were the safest to be in - so he rested, worshiped and rejoiced in his God.

David knew the Lord’s heart, and he lived in continual response to it.

That's what I would like to experience -  a greater revelation by the Spirit of God into the heart of the Father, and grace to live known and without shame before God…. true intimacy.

As I pen these words, the day of Pentecost is fast approaching - mere days away - and my heart yearns for a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit both for the global Bride of Christ and myself

Spring up, oh well!   Spring up within me!

Oh Precious Holy Spirit, Teacher, Counsellor, Revealer of the mysteries of God, would you usher us into the secrets of the Father's heart.  How deep is the Father's love for us! How vast beyond all measure and finding out.

Beautiful Spirit of Holiness, Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, would you reveal Jesus to His Bride. Would you reveal His surpassing worth, excellence and beauty to His Beloved, that she might be His fully. Wholly His and manifesting the holiness and unity to which He has called us,  and for which He prayed.

Jesus we love You! Ohh how we love You...

Open our eyes to your beauty.  Open our eyes to the hour of history in which we find ourselves, that we might live lives of sobriety, urgency and longing. Unattached vagabonds, living in a world of chains- with a destiny beyond this life.  We will not hang on to the comforts of this age! We will not be entangled by its snares. We hear the sound of the wedding bells and long for the day of the appearing of our Bridegroom King- Jesus Messiah.

Just passing by. On our way home - citizens of another age, seeking a city not built by human hands- whose builder and maker is God. Oh Jerusalem! How we long to see you! We pray for your peace- knowing one day soon, the Prince of Peace will split the sky and reign within you and us with Him forever.  Amen.
