In the recent weeks I have taken a risk. My good friend Jared and I have hired a big warehouse with nothing but a few crazy ideas, hope, and dream. In hiring this warehouse we have decided to write up a manifesto to put into context some of these crazy ideas, dreams, and give voice to the hope that we have. This is our initial idea.
The Mosaic Workshop Manifesto
The Mosaic Workshop comes out of the Mosaic Auckland Church.
At Mosaic one of our core beliefs is that creativity is the natural result of spirituality.
We believe that what comes from a life of spirituality is naturally a life of creativity. God designed humanity to create; we live a life connected to the creator what flows naturally is a life of creativity.
From the outset we have created the Mosaic Workshop around a life of deep spirituality.
We have been inspired by the Monastic rhythms, people who were set a part to live lives of spirituality, and to cultivate the earth.
The Monks were on the cutting edge of creativity, they were people whose lives were spent toiling, and making the earth more beautiful.
This inspires us.
The Mosaic Workshop is a place that makes Auckland City more beautiful.
We believe that the Church should be characterised by its ability to create, collaborate, and inspire a life lived to the full.
We believe that God is a creative force, giving that God gives humanity mandate to continue the creative process.
We believe that every person is a work of art and an artist at work.
This is why we have created the Mosaic workshop
To encourage people to live out their creative potential
To be inspired and to inspire
To dream and to live
To collaborate, and to create
Finally we believe that ideas are at their best when they are discovered in collaboration with others.
The Mosaic Workshop will be a space for people to come together
To bounce ideas
To dream together
Inspire each other
To create together a future we all want to be a part of
We believe that everyone is welcome to collaborate
Whatever your skill
Whatever you faith you may or may not have
Whatever dream or vision
You are welcome to join the journey and create with us
This is the Mosaic Workshop Manifesto.
We would love for you to join us.
And create with us
